Construction Timeline
We completed this project in carefully sequenced stages:
Planning & Permits:
This project began with detailed planning between the homeowner and a structural engineer to ensure the addition met all structural and code requirements. After plan approval and work authorization, we completed a site survey to locate underground utilities before construction began.
Foundation Work
We demolished the existing exterior wall to properly tie the new addition into the original structure. Footings were excavated, reinforced with rebar tied into the existing foundation, and inspected by the city before concrete was pumped and placed. A cinderblock foundation was then constructed, inspected, and fully waterproofed.
Framing & Exterior
Interior and exterior framing was completed to seamlessly connect the new addition to the existing home. Subfloor installation followed, along with framing inspection approval. The structure was wrapped with a vapor barrier, roof sheathing installed, and shingles matched to the existing roof. New windows, doors, brickwork, and a concrete patio extension were completed to blend with the original exterior.
Interior Build‑Out
Electrical and plumbing rough‑ins were completed and inspected before drywall installation. Interior doors were installed, subfloors leveled, and the space prepared for finish work.
Bathroom Construction
The bathroom was built from the ground up, including waterproofing, tile installation, fixture placement, and lighting. Careful attention was given to layout, durability, and long‑term performance.
Final Touches
Hardwood flooring, final tile work, vanities, shower doors, fixtures, lighting, shelving, and hardware were installed. The project concluded with a full cleanup, punch‑list completion, and final paint touch‑ups.

Each phase of this project was carefully sequenced to ensure structural integrity, code compliance, and a seamless connection between the existing home and the new addition. From planning through final finishes, the work was completed with attention to detail at every stage.
